A Missing Southwest Corner in a Home

Avoid Odd Shaped Floor Plans

A Missing Southwest Corner in a Home

In Feng Shui, the Southwest is Yin Earth, the energy of soil, paddies, small pebbles. It embodies the qualities of Mother Earth, fertility, ability to give life to others, the instinct for nurturing and deep caring. Earth is necessary for growth. It affects the matriarch or main caregiver.

Yin Earth is the capacity to yield, store information, be multi-talented/tasking, shrewd with money and an ease toward success and prosperity. It brings resiliency, tolerance, self-sufficiency and confidence. It is the transition point between summer and autumn.

A missing SW corner will make it difficult to reach for the qualities listed above. It can be either, hard to find a wife, to keep her or, or she is always away. The matriarch may not be able to exert authority in the house and have health issues.

If your BaZi birth chart is also missing the Yin Earth element, the challenges in these areas are pronounced. Health issues are likely related to the abdomen, childbearing, digestion, flesh and pancreas.

What can be done? The best option is to build out to add a SW sector, although costly. Alternatively, you can use the SW sector of other rooms to strengthen the Yin Earth element. Place heavy objects, beds and desks there. If Yin Earth is intact in the BaZi, it helps counter-balance a missing SW sector.

If SW is missing in the home and birth chart, you have to decisively put Yin Earth energy into your life with your actions and attitude. Put effort into caring, nurturing others, being tolerant, patient. Take classes or get a life coach to help you in areas related to the above list that need developing. Take care of your health in areas related to Yin Earth. Yoga and meditation are helpful. Find ways to support the matriarch. We can review your birth chart for additional actions to take.

A Missing Northwest Corner in a Home

Multiple Missing Corners, Complex Problems

A Missing Northwest Corner in a Home

In Feng Shui, Northwest is Yang Metal, the energy of iron ore, a ship and the qualities of an Emperor or Ruler. The Northwest affects the patriarch or main bread-winner of the home.

Yang metal gives the capacity for leadership, the ability to organize people to get things done, to delegate and be organized. It helps in jobs or positions of power, your reputation and matters of finance and investments.

Yang metal makes you loyal, patriotic, rules oriented, law-abiding and trusting. It is Autumn, nearing the end of a harvest, when you have matured in wisdom and success.

A missing NW corner will make you uninterested or unable to exercise leadership and be decisive. Maintaining the reputation you want will not be easy. It can be either, hard to find a spouse, to keep him or, he is always away. The patriarch may not be able to exert authority in the home and can have health issues.

If your BaZi birth chart is also missing the Yang Metal element, the challenges in these areas are pronounced. Health issues are likely related to brain/mind, mood/worrying, colon/intestines, muscles, bones/joints and lungs.

What can be done? The best option is to build out to add a NW sector, although costly. Alternatively, you can use the NW sector of other rooms to strengthen the Yang Metal element. Place heavy objects, beds and desks there. If Yang Metal is intact in the BaZi, it helps counter-balance a missing NW sector.

If NW is missing in the home and birth chart, you have to decisively put Metal energy into your life with your actions and attitude. Learn to be decisive and take leadership, even in small matters. Take care of your health in areas related to metal. Do strength training or any muscle-building exercise to protect the bones. Find ways to support the patriarch. Get financial advisors to help with finances. We can review your birth chart for additional actions to take.

A Missing North Corner in a Home

A Missing North Corner in a Home

Significant Missing  Sector is Not Good

In Feng Shui, a missing north corner in a home means the Yin and Yang balance of the home is off. We also do not like to see the south corner missing. South is Fire Energy, North is Water Energy. The imbalance will affect the residents. Both are necessary for the first level of balance.

The North Water Energy is about creativity, intelligence and movement. Water brings the capacity for communications, ability to absorb information, flexibility, adaptability and travel. Imagine the movement in the Ocean, rain, rivers, clouds and mist. It is the cold of winter, the middle son.

A missing North corner will mean difficulty listening and finding your voice, absorbing knowledge, and interest in your love life.  You are less flexible, find it hard to adapt and travel may not play strongly in your life. A middle son, will have difficulties in life achievements and finding support.

If your BaZi birth chart is also missing the Water element, the challenges in these areas are pronounced. Health issues are likely related to your kidneys, circulatory system, bladder, urinary, ears, body fluids, your love life and fear issues.

What can be done? The best option is to build out to add a north sector, although costly. Alternatively, you can use the north sector of other rooms to strengthen the Water element. Place beds and desks there. If the Water Element is intact in your BaZi, it helps counter-balance a missing sector.

If north is missing in the home and birth chart, you have to decisively put Water energy into your life with your actions and attitude. Proactively engage in activities or take a job that requires you to communicate, think or act. Find work and activities that bring out your creativity, learning.

Live in milder climate or the north part of a city. Take care of your health in areas related to water. Swimming, running and cardio are Water based exercise. Create opportunities for your middle son with the help of mentors and educators in the areas related to water.

A Missing South Corner in a Home

A Missing South Corner in a Home

Two Missing Sectors is Not Good

In Feng Shui, life is smoother when your house floor plan is a full square or rectangle. If a sector of the floor plan is missing, you will experience a challenge in your life that is associated with the missing area. Some missing corners are more problematic than others. We do not like to see a missing South and North. Why?

The South is Fire Energy. Fire is the Sun, candlelight, heat, warmth, passion and happiness. It gives you the vision, drive and adrenaline to strive in your achievements. It helps you assume responsibility for others. It is summer and the middle daughter. A missing south corner will mean difficulty finding happiness or being passionate about the things in your life and achieve life aspects listed above. What you contribute cannot be seen.

A middle daughter will have difficulties in her achievements and finding support. If your BaZi birth chart is also missing the Fire element, the challenges in these areas of life are pronounced. Health issues can be related to the eyes, heart, cholesterol and blood pressure problems.

What can be done? The best option is to build out to add a south sector, although costly. Alternatively, you can use the South sector of other rooms to strengthen the Fire element into your life. Place beds and work desks there. If the Fire Element is intact in your BaZi, it helps counter-balance a missing sector.

If Fire is missing in the home and birth chart, you must decisively put Fire into your life with your actions and attitude. Proactively engage in activities that bring happiness, i.e. go to social events, celebrations, engage in hobbies. Look at the Bright side of things. Live in warmer climate or the south part of a city, a home full of sunlight. Heat up your body with regular exercise. Find work and activities that you are passionate about. Create opportunities for your daughter with the help of mentors and educators in areas related to Fire. We can look at your birth chart for additional actions to take.

Feng Shui for Selling, Buying a House

Mark it Sold!

In Feng Shui we use Date Selection (ZeRi) to sell or buy a house or property. Certain days are better to jump start selling a property or one stuck on the market. We choose a good day in relationship to the home and/or the seller to maximize the sale of a property. Good days alone are just that, good. If the day relates to the seller’s BaZi birth chart and the home, action can be quick and the outcome good.
