In Feng Shui, we use the 5 Elements – Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water to understand a home, as well as people. The BaZi birth charts, or the 4 Pillars of Destiny, lets us understand how people’s lives will unfold in their homes. The 4 Pillars of Destiny is Traditional Chinese Astrology and is our Destiny Code. Today, we will focus on people.
Each person is identified by an element, which becomes the spirit of the person. There are 10 archetypes of personalities. If you have these qualities, you are likely a Wood person or, you have lots of wood in your birth chart.
Wood people are about growing and continuously evolving. They have the qualities of Tree energy – from the seed to the branch, to the tree, to the leaves, blossoms and finally, the fruit. Wood types are practical people who are always looking to the future, full of ideas. Wood heals itself and tends to be happier.
Wood people can turn resources into products, ideas into profits, and believe expansion or growth will resolve any problem. Wood people provides direction to achieving goals. They have good verbal skills. Woods are extroverted and love to accomplish or complete activities. They are very sociable and are almost always surrounded by others, but may have few close friends. They are straight and set in their ways and can be difficult to change or persuade. They like stability and to stay rooted.
Wood people can have strong tempers and feel frustrated when other people fail to perform to their standards. They can be coy and manipulative and also sentimental. They tend to be scattered, spreading themselves and their resources too thin. The Wood self may find it difficult to express their inner emotions, and can suffer from feeling inadequate. They can handle great amounts of pressure. But also succumb to it.
