Qi Men Dun Jia September 9, 9-11am Good Hour

Qi Men Dun Jia  September 9th, 9-11  Good Hour

Today we will give two suggestions on how to use September 9.  Conventional date selection is simpler and more people are familiar with this.  The second method is Qi Men Dun Jia which is quickly becoming popular around the world in the feng shui community.  As QMDJ is newer, many are in the testing period of this method.  There have been reports of good results, which will improve over time.  Like all new things, practice brings better results.  We welcome your comments as we are all in a learning process together.  Many of you have your own experiences so do share!

Whichever system you try, it is good to journal what you do and also log the outcome, good or bad.  After trial and error, you will see patterns in what works and what doesn’t.  Eventually, you will become better at it and your results will show.

September 9, 2013 is a Water Goat day.

An added plus to this day is the annual Sun Star is in the Goat’s sector (southwest 1) for the year.  A common phrase with the Sun Star is, “Where the Sun resides, all evil subsides.”  The Sun Star is known to help in overcoming negatives and turning them into positives and bringing nobleman help from males.  This adds to the day’s positives.  If your day master in your BaZi is Yang Metal, Yang Wood or Yang Earth, this day has an additional bonus for you as Goat is your personal nobleman star.  You would have already experienced the presence of nobleman this year.

CONVENTIONAL DATE SELECTION

4 Positive Ratings:

Open Day – Officer Star

Auspicious – Dong Gong

Precious Light Star – Yellow Black Belt

Tail Star – 28 Constellations

Good Stars: Earthly Storage is good for long term wealth, Monthly Benevolence is a wish making star, Yang Noble is nobleman help from males, Life Generating is for vitality.

Suitable for: Assuming a new post, beginning a new study or education. Marriage, meeting friends/networking, moving, prayers and worshiping, traveling.

Not suitable for: For commencing new business, debt collection, financial investments/activities, groundbreaking, renovations, medical treatment or signing contracts and agreements.

Goat is in the Southwest 1 sector of any property or within a single room.  This is 203°-217°, measuring from the center of the property or from the center of a room.  If you have an iPhone, iPad or a smart phone, you can get a free compass app or better, get Joey Yap’s Xuan Kong compass app.  Using a compass is more accurate.  You can alternatively go on goolgemaps.com, plug in your address to get directions of the property.  There will be a bit of guessing using this method.

Once found, go to the southwest area of your house or room and use it.  You will know if you got it right after you have used it and see results.

Using LOCATION and DIRECTION – What is the difference?

Location is being inside the sector of Southwest for this day:

Under Conventional Date Selection, you can sit in the Southwest sector for this day to do your work or during an important meeting, sit in the SW of the room.  This means be in the sector of location of SW.

Direction is the way you are facing when you sit.  The best direction for you is based on your Gua number.

For the Advanced: Na Jia Table. Look for your Gua on the Left side. Green are your good directions. Go above the rows and your good directions are listed there. TY is Tian Yi Heaven Doctor, my favorite as it helps solve problems & bring you help. SQ is Sheng Qi for success. YN is Yan Nian for relationships. FW is Fu Wei stability. Chart produced by Steve Garvey.

On top of location, try to use your personal good directions while in the sector.  This is the direction you are facing (as opposed to being in the location).  Choose a good facing direction based your Gua number.  West group people use west group directions: southwest, west, northwest, northeast.  East group people use East group directions: east, southeast, south, north.

The Day Pillar is generally the guiding pillar.  The Gua # will show what are your good and directions.  The Nobleman Star and Gua # are indicated on the upper left of the chart.

For the advanced user, use the Na Jia directions as listed in the Na Jia chart below.  Use this only if you have some experience, otherwise it may be too complicated.  Simple is always good.

Who is September 9th best for?

Most of us can use it well, but it is especially good for those born on the following days according to their BaZi birth charts:

Xin Wei or Metal Goat, Geng Shen or Metal Monkey, Wu Wu or Earth Horse and also those born on a Horse, Rabbit or Pig day.  These pillars are show on the chart below.  Those with Chou or Ox in their charts might not use this day as it clashes on you and the benefits will not be received.

Sep 9 is Water Goat. Look at the 5 pillars below the the day. The 3 on the left are great if these pillars are in your BaZi. The two on the right in your chart make this day not usable for you. Chart is from Joey Yap's Pro Tong Shu. I highly recommend you purchase the 2015 calendar if you know how to use Date Selection.

HOURS TO USE

Conventional Date Selection

There are 3 auspicious hours.  5-7am, 9-11am or 7-9pm.  These are the hours of the Rabbit, Snake and the Dog respectively.  All 3 hours bring noblemen help on the 9th.  This means, using it, taps into help from people of caliber to come to you.  You can use them all provided they do not clash the day you are born.  If your Day Master is Yang or Yin Water (Ren or Kui) the Rabbit and Snake are your personal Nobleman Stars.  Hence you have an added plus on this day as this is your nobleman hour.  The Dog hour is the Nobleman hour for this day.

It is best to pick an hour that does not clash your day branch.  Eg. –  if you are born on a Rooster Day, Rabbit hour is not usable.  If you are born on a Pig day, Snake hour is not usable.  If you are born on a Dragon day pass on using the Dog hour.

Method 2 – For advanced users and followers of QMDJ

Qi Men Dun Jia and the Flying Bird Falling Into the Cave on September 9th

Wood Fire Brilliance Formation is when Bing/Yang Fire sees Wu/Yang Earth in the same palace

Flying Bird Falling Into the Cave formation defined.  Read top row ONLY – Joey Yap’s 540 Yin Structure book Pg 1127

September 9, 2014, from 9-10:59am, the South palace will be visited by the favored, Flying Bird Falling Into the Cave Formation in QMDJ.

Source materials – Joey Yap, Mastery Academy of Chinese Metaphysics, Pro Tong Shu & QMDJ books.

___________________________________________________________________

Flying Bird Falling Into the Cave  (FBFC) – Is in the South between 9-10:59am.  FBFC is an auspicious sign.  This formation brings you what you hope to achieve and with ease.  If the South is either your Destiny or current 15 year Luck Palace, you will benefit the most from using this hour.  For the rest of us, we can still get good results.

Below is the Qi Men Chart of Sep 9, 2014

What is this day good for?

Money, Wealth and Opportunities

Earth (God of Wealth) is with the Open Door in the South.  This would be a good time to use if you need help with money or to make wealth related decisions .  As the Open Door brings opportunities and affects one’s career or place of business, it is a good time to take Action and/or Ask for help regarding opportunities related to money and wealth investments or with your career.

Asking for Forgiveness – Heavenly Dun formation

There are times we make mistakes.  This is a good day to make amends for those mistakes as the Heavenly Dun formation is also in the South.  Heavenly Dun is helpful if you need to ask for forgiveness or you need to make a public statement regarding some mistake and you want to be forgiven.  You have seen politicians do this and be forgiven of their transgressions.  Put your back to South when you are asking for forgiveness.

____________________________________________________________________

How to use this hour?

We suggest you conduct your business or work with your back to the South direction during this time, asking Earth deity to be with you as you make your financial decisions.  Example: If you are going to have a meeting with your banker to ask for a loan, walk out of a South door between 9-11am and ask Earth Deity to be with you during the meeting and get the banker to grant you the loan request.

We suggest a prayer request for what you want with your back to South.  Put your back to any direction of South from 158-203°, face opposite toward North.  Location does not matter.

For Advanced Users:

If you do not know Xuan Kong Da Gua pass on this part.  If you know Xuan Kong Da Gua, you might want to select a good hexagram that combines with your day pillar.  We like to use combination of 10, HeTu combos or the same number as the bottom number of our day pillar hexagram.  We find this to very effective.  Eg- If your day pillar hexagram has 6 at the bottom number (period star), you can choose from these hexagrams:  The Cauldron with a 4, Heaven with 1 or, Eliminating with a 6.  We would choose Cauldron as it is best matches to our goal.

If you know how to place water and fire to trigger Qi, use those appropriately in the SW1 Sun Star, NE1 Dragon Virtue Star, W Moon Star or E Fortune Virtue Star.  Choose the ones, depending on which location best suits your BaZi chart and does not clash.  These are the annual 4 Noble Star for 2014.

Using the “Asking Tool”

This is using the spiritual realm of QM.  This taps into the spiritual influence of the day.  But you must first get into alpha state or “Sage Mode”, Joey Yap’s phrase for a meditative, calm state of mind.  Ask for what you want to come to you.  You must ask, using ONLY positive words.  Avoid words like – not, can’t, won’t, don’t, no, or words that have a negative connotation.  It is helpful to write out what you want ahead of time.  You do not have to take a long time to make your request.

Reminder: QMDJ works best when you have done all your basic Feng Shui around the home.  This is your 8 Mansions and Annual treatments.  For example, placing your bed and work desk in good directions that support you.

In a business deal, here is what the Flying Bird Falling Into the Cave influences:

Another Good Choice:

The East is good if you need the help from Chief deity.  Chief brings the promise of achieving your goal.  As Death door is in the East, I would restrict use of it to matters related to land.  E is especially good is your Destiny Palace or Current Luck Palace is in S.  Jia is hidden in the E with Chief, the most powerful deity in the Qi Men Dun Jia System.

Sept 9, 9-10:59 hour Chart shows the Flying Bird Falling Into the Cave Formation in the South. Chief is with the Wood Fire Brilliance, another good formation in the East.

Sept 9, 9-10:59 hour Chart shows the Flying Bird Falling Into the Cave Formation in the South.  It is a favorite formation in QMDJ.  In the East, Chief is with the Wood Fire Brilliance, another good formation.  As it has Death door, restrict its use to matters dealing with land. Joey Yap 540 Yin Structures Book pg 1126

The E is visited by the Wood Fire Brilliance formation.  Put your back to East.  I prefer 85-93° as is the Rabbit direction and Mao has the annual Fortune Virtue star which sees happy events.  See below for WFB defined.

Calm yourself in a comfortable chair and get into “Sage Mode”.  Once you have reached this alpha state, make your request, using only positive words.

WFB JiaDing

Wood Fire Brilliance Formation as described in Joey Yap’s QMDJ 540 Yin Structures book.

For the Advanced Users:   If the above do not work for you, 11-1:12:59 Green Dragon Returning formation is in SW.  FBFC is again in the SE at 1-2:59pm.  Look at page 1128, 1130 of the 540 Yin Structure book for details.  Harmony deity is great for relationships, family matters in the SE at 3-4:59pm. Pg 1132.

The 8 Doors and the “Art of War” in Qi Men Dun Jia

What do the 8 Doors mean in Qi Men Dun Jia?  They are the course of actions you take toward some goal.  A Qi Men chart can tell you if the action you intend to take will yield good results or not.  This gives you either a go-ahead as success is likely or informs you to change your strategy.

These courses are based on Joey Yap’s Qi Men Dun Jia seminars.  These introductory courses are a step-by step program for beginners in the various applications of QMDJ on Feng Shui and Strategy Implementation.

Strategy Implementation

A Qi Men chart offers 8 different routes to take to improve the outcome of your endeavors.  And it tells you the best timing to begin action toward your goal. Strategy implementation is appropriate for career decisions, deal negotiations, political or marketing campaigns, business decisions and expansion, competitive situations, sports, examinations, health recovery support or relationship issues.

In this course, you will learn:

  • To target the “Magic Moment” to begin action for a goal in order to amplify a successful outcome
  • To know how Qi at different times affects a given activity.  The more accurate you are at matching the right Qi to the right action, the better the results.
  • To know where the Qi you want to access is located at any given moment
  • To devise or assess whether your strategy will meet competitive demands and make adjustments if needed
  • To find 8 possible solutions for dilemmas & problems that you face daily
  • To develop strategies to navigate modern demands so you are at peak performance
  • To level up your career, business and investment decisions so they work to your advantage
  • To gain insightful information about what events and actions around you that you may not be aware of, but need to know

QMDJ and Feng Shui

  • To easily and quickly make property assessments
  • To assess properties without the need to be on-site
  • To identify root problems
  • To identify the source of positive Qi
  • To know how each room affects different individuals
  • To learn what kinds of properties you are drawn to and why
  • Gives solutions to Feng Shui challenges

Qi Men Dun Jia – September 2 – 1-3pm Good Hour

Qi Men Dun Jia  – September 2, 2014 –  1-2:59pm Good Hour

Sept 2, 2014

Ratings: Stable, Excellent, Green Dragon

Stars Include: Prosperity Star,  3Harmony, Fortune Growth

Negative Big Consumer Star – Do no make big purchase on this day as you will over pay for the item.

September 2 is a Bing Zi or Fire Rat Day. Especially good for those with BaZi Pillars of Jia Zi or Wood Rat, Ding Chou or Fire Ox, and Xin Chou or Metal Ox. Those with Wu or have a Horse in the chart should pass on this day as it clashes you. The benefits are limited.

In regular Date Selection, the 9-11am brings wealth and nobleman help. Use this time to pull in help from people of high caliber to you. If the Snake is your personal Nobleman Star, you are doubly blessed. This is true for those who’s BaZi Day Master is Ren/Yang Water or Kui/Yin Water. You may use this hour if you are comfortable with Date Selection.

8 Immortals in Chinese Calligraphy. The 8 Immortals is associated with the 8 Guardian Deities in QMDJ

Chinese Calligraphy imaging the 8 Immortals, a popular symbol of good luck in the Chinese culture. 8 Guardian Deities in QMDJ are sometimes compared to the 8 Immortals.

For those interested in using the Qi Men Dun Jia hours of 1-2:59pm, please read on.  This is the hour of the Wood Goat.

Use West direction. This hour sees Harmony Guardian deity with the Open Door.  Harmony is helpful for matters relating to relationships, networking and connecting with people.  Open Door denotes opportunities, matters relating to one’s career, or a business place of operation.  This hour is especially good for those with West as their destiny palace or current luck palace.

West sees the Green Dragon Turns Bright formation. It denotes help from Noble people….”Your task or goal will become easier with the help of others…….Good for finding opportunities and seeking a promotion and prosperity.”

Put your back to any part of West.  I prefer West 2 direction, between 264°-275° as it taps into the annual Moon Star, bringing the help of female noble people.  It helps turn negative situations into positives.  You can use this hour to conduct a meeting, launch a campaign or initiate a plan that involves bringing opportunities related to connecting with people or involving your career.

You can also use this hour to tap into the spiritual realm or your subconscious mind by using the “Asking Tool.”

______________________________________________

The Asking Tool

To use the Asking Tool, first get into Sage Mode, a meditative, calm state of mind. Focus on your objective.  Imagine your goal coming to life.  Who is with you and what you are achieving.  When you reach a calm state, ask for what you want to come to you.  Imagine how it will come, the steps you will take to make it happen and the end product.  When you ask, use ONLY positive words.  Leave out words like – no, don’t, can’t, shouldn’t, etc.  It is helpful to write out what you want ahead of time.  The length of time used is up to you.

Reminder: QMDJ works best when you have done all your basic Feng Shui around the home.  This is placing your bed and work desk in good directions that personally support you.  And, you have taken care of your annual treatments.  Even without this, you can get results.  But why not set it all up to amplify the outcomes?

You can also use Northeast if it better meets your needs.  NE is with the Chief guardian deity, the strongest of the 8 deities.

Northeast: Good for “hunting” for clients, customers or other related type matters.

Put your back to Northeast 1, btw 23°-37°.  You can use any part of NE.  I prefer NE1 as it connects to the Annual Dragon Virtue Star, which helps resolves difficult situations and turns them into positives.

Get into Sage Mode and use the Asking Tool.  During these times, you can sit with your back to these directions and conduct important activity related to matters that require you to “hunt” or seek out what you want.

An Alternative Hour for You if the above do not match your objectives

5-6:59pm is the hour of the Fire Rooster

Use North. This taps into the Chief Guardian with the Delusion Door and the Wood Fire Brilliance formation.  This direction is good to ask and work towards something as you prepare for taking action.

North is, “…..good for meeting Noble people and receiving support.  Excellent combination for career pursuit or pursing fame.  Also good for promotion and getting support from superiors.”

For business people this is the influence it brings —

Wood Fire Brilliance formation brings

Wood Fire Brilliance formation helps in negotiations. QMDJ Strategic Executions Book

What to do:

Put your back to North 1, btw 338°-353°, get into Sage Mode and Ask for what you want to happen.  Then take some action within 24 hours.  If you have a meeting, an important phone call or need to send out an email, put your back to this direction and conduct your work.

What is Qi Men Dun Jia?

Qi Men Dun Jia’s purpose is to put you in an optimum position to achieve the results you want in any competitive environment.  It is used to forecast and calculate the outcomes of your plans by understanding the use of timing and positive environmental frequencies.  It is a bit like using the understanding of weather patterns and the environment to ensure a bumper crop.

Qi Men Dun Jia is the mother system of all Feng Shui systems.  QMDJ is used to forecast the likely outcomes of key questions as they stand in current time.  Based on the forecast, a QMDJ chart offers options to pursue, to improve the forecasted outcome or to take action to alter an outcome you do not want.

It is compared to the moments when miraculous outcomes of actions and events come to us in the most unexpected ways.  While it is not a practice to conjure up magic and miracles, one can experience miraculous results.  It cannot be used to cheat Destiny, Fate or Death.  But it does allow you to design your own destiny and promote good health.  Qi Men Dun Jia works best when you can shift the pattern of your mind’s thinking to see you can create your reality or you can react to it.

What is the Meaning of Qi Men Dun Jia?

The transliterated meaning of Qi Men Dun Jia, is roughly, Mystical Door Hiding Jia or the Mystical Door Hiding Technique.  Deconstructed, it means the following:

Qi embraces the enigma of universal cosmic energy interweaved with the mystery and intrigue it brings as it unfolds on the human experience.  It is when you experience unreasoned and unseen events that are without explanations which can only be attributed to something miraculous.  Qi in this reference is not to be compared to the energy force of Qi we commonly know in Feng Shui.

Men literally translates to door or gate.  With ever action we take, we create circumstances where doors will open, while others shut.  The question is can we see the doors?  And, what door is best to walk through and at what moment?   Which ones will bring good fortune?  Which ones will bring unfortunate outcomes?  QiMen gives us the tool to gauge properly.  QMDJ is a tool to give a clinical assessment of the options available.

Dun means to hide or to ‘escape to remain hidden.’  Apple Inc uses strategy when it creates and unveils its products to the world.  They, like any successful company, use correct timing, deliberately manipulation of competition and branding.  Apple has its ‘state secrets’ that will be shielded from the public.  Real ‘secret weapons’ are what makes one victorious.  In any endeavor of major importance, we do not reveal all of our cards.  It is a game of concealment and modern day war in the business world.

Jia is first of the 10 Heavenly Stems, a foundation of all Chinese metaphysics.  The 10 stems reveals the outcomes surrounding any event in life.  Jia is first reference point and a coded military term for the General or the Grand Marshal.  In contemporary terms, it is the leader who must be shielded to preserve authority and command to ensure victory or success an any endeavor.

How Does Qi Men Dun Jia Work?

“It functions to support a person’s painstaking research and strategy development, to help one choose the exact time and place to put the plans in motion, ensuring success in a large swath of endeavors,” says Dato Joey Yap.

As it was the system used to preserve the rule of the emperor, it can be compared to a militaristic game of chess.  The ultimate goal is the defend, protect and conceal the King, while simultaneously advancing the King to conquer the opponent, by putting him in checkmate.

Superior strategy and use of exact timing are the central governing principles of Qi Men Dun Jia.  In order to win the battle and the war, the chessboard is the Qi Men chart which reflects the battlefield.  The Qi Men chart reveals the power equation of the two sides, offering options for what the best strategy to prevail.

This ancient craft of war is modernized to apply to contemporary conditions.  The beauty of Qi Men Dun Jia is it is a stand-alone system that can be learned without knowing BaZi and Feng Shui.  Having said that, knowing BaZi and Feng Shui gives you a solid foundation to understand Qi Men Dun Jia more quickly and better.

Where Does Qi Men Dun Jia Come From?

Qi Men Dun Jia is an ancient Chinese Metaphysical system that encompasses being in the right place, at the right time in order to control the outcomes of “luck.”  A historic classic, Sun Tzu’s Art of War is based on the fundamentals of Qi Men Dun Jia.

The revival of Qi Men Dun Jia has recently become a popular system of Feng Shui practiced in Asia after China began releasing the old texts.  Qi Men Dun Jia has its origins in the Warring States Period of China’s dynasties.  It stretches as far back as 3000 years ago. It was war strategy used by the military strategists of emperors and warlords to defeat the enemy.  “Its use during Chinese military history was so prolific that it was treated as a state secret until the end of the Qing Dynasty.”

The Victory of Right Timing

The use of Qi Men Dun Jia is to put yourself in the right place, at the right moment to absorb beneficial Qi.  It helps you capture the opportunities that introduce themselves and place you in a manageable position over the events that unfold in your life.  It helps develop strategy to pursue your objectives. Qi Men Dun Jia taps into the unknown universal energy on a spirit level to integrate its influence into life events.

It is becoming aware of and using all the tools available to put yourself in a Zone of Perfection and increase you ability to succeed at your objectives.  QMDJ levels up one’s position on a playing field to enhance the potential for success to achieve happiness and well-being.

It is not totally random as it includes some ability to identify and capture opportune moments in time.  It is knowing when to take what action at a precise moment, in the right place so we may reap the rewards.  There may be things that we may wish for and we might not expect.  We can see them, but they are not quite within our reach.  Qi Men Dun Jia allows us to enter the realm of possibility for our dreams.

We may call these miracles as we can’t understand how circumstances could have happened in this way.  Many of us have experienced these “miracles”.  Qi Men Dun Jia helps you design the situations you want to bring you in reach of your dreams.

Qi Men Dun Jia Feng Shui

A QiMen chart in a feng shui assessment gives you a remote view of any property before visiting the site.  It tells you the invisible problems as well as the visible.  It can give you a value assessment of the property you want to purchase.  It can give a value comparison between numerous properties. A QiMen chart will tell you the best direction to search for a good feng shui property that is suitable to the buyer.

It can be used to reverse unproductive or negative relationships and events in one’s life.  It can be used to find lost items.  Based on the goal, we can analyze the Qi Men Dun Jia chart that is derived at the moment of the posed question.  This allows us to pinpoint a specific, but optimum time to proceed and/or find solutions to problems.

Through centuries of use, adaptation and popularity of Qi Men Dun Jia, it expanded to included other methods of divination like the Yi Qing (IChing), Feng Shui, BaZi (Chinese Astrology) and ZeRi (auspicious Date Selection).  Most subsequent systems of Qi Men Dun Jia have no relationship to its original purpose as war strategy.  However, Joey Yap has adapted the lessons from history that appropriately apply to modern society creating a unique pool of benefits.

What is Qi Men Dun Jia based Upon?

The transliterated name of Qi Men Dun Jia, “Mystical Door Hiding Jia” evolves around hiding the Jia or Yang Wood.  Jia is the first of the 10 Heavenly Stems, the foundation to understanding all Chinese Metaphysics.  In war strategy, hiding the Jia was coded military language for hiding the General or Leader to protect him.  Similar to a game of chess, QMDJ is about protecting the King while he advances and to defeat and put the adversary into checkmate.

The greatest enemy to Jia is Geng or Yang Metal.  These are opposing elements compared to the Axe and giant Oak Tree.  the Axe’s intent is to chop down and destroy the tree, which would end its life, thus it becomes the enemy of Jia.  The entire system of Qi Men Dun Jia is to protect the “General” from the enemy, to avoid a destructive war, or to position the General in the commanding position so he emerges the victor.
